God's Gifts
You cannot count the raindrops
Nor stars in the sky
The number of white clouds
Is unknown to the eye
You cannot count ripples
In a slowly moving blue lake
On a snow-covered peak
You cannot count the flakes
One cannot count the pebbles in the woods
Nor leaves on the trees bent with fruits
But it hardly matters
The number of things is inconsequential
Because
It is the happiness, joy and pleasure
That each gift from God brings
Which makes us realise
That God cares for us
Despite our faults and follies
